The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce has issued a warning of an illegal solicitation being conducted in the county regarding map advertising.
According to the Chamber, an individual is soliciting area businesses regarding map advertising and representing himself as calling on behalf of the Chamber.
The caller is requesting credit card numbers to cover ad costs beginning at $309.
In initial calls, the caller would not give his name, and the phone number he provided was disconnected.
The telephone calls began on Nov. 20 and are continuing.
