HALFMOON, NY – With a profound spirit of patriotism and gratitude, the Town of Halfmoon today proudly announced its 2024 Complimentary Veterans’ Breakfast, a tribute to the brave hearts who have served in America’s armed forces with honor and courage. The complimentary Veterans Breakfast event will take place on Saturday, June 8, at 9:00 a.m., at the Halfmoon Senior Center, located at 285 Lower Newtown Road, Halfmoon.

The complimentary breakfast is sponsored by the Town of Halfmoon and the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1498 and symbolizes Halfmoon’s unwavering support for military veterans and active-duty personnel.

The Town of Halfmoon has a longstanding tradition of honoring America’s military heroes through various initiatives, including the esteemed Yellow Ribbon Day annual observance, the revered Halfmoon Veterans Memorial, and community donation drives supporting NY 2 Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. These efforts reflect the Town’s enduring commitment to recognizing the sacrifices made by the nation’s servicemen and women and their families.

This year’s breakfast will feature a distinguished guest speaker, Frank McClement, a decorated veteran and Director of the Saratoga County Veterans Service Agency and the Saratoga Veterans Peer to Peer Program. Director McClement’s exemplary military service as an Airborne Infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division and his subsequent dedication to supporting fellow veterans embody the spirit of selfless service.

Halfmoon Town Supervisor Kevin Tollisen stated, “Our veterans and active-duty personnel are the bedrock of our freedom and democracy. Events like our annual complimentary Veterans Breakfast are a small token of our immense appreciation for their dedication and sacrifice.
