Latham, NY — Curtain Call Theatre is presenting Be Here Now by Deborah Zoe Laufer, directed by Patricia Bunce. The play follows Bari, whose always been a bit of a misanthrope. And losing her job teaching nihilism in New York to work at the local fulfillment center in her rural hometown has sent her into despair. But lately her recurring headaches manifest bizarre, ecstatic, almost religious experiences, and they’re changing her entire view of life. She’s in love. She’s almost… happy. When she finds out they’re also killing her, she must decide whether it’s better to live a short, joyful life, or risk a lifetime of misery. And she must also ask herself… what’s it all for anyway?

The cast includes Talia Hotaling, Pamela O’Connor, David Orr and Jennifer Van Iderstyne. Scenic Design by Zach Pizza, Lighting Design by William Fritz, Sound Design by Alex Dietz-Kest, Costume Design by Beth Ruman, and Stage Management by Cece Widomski.

The play opens on Thursday, April 8, 2024 and runs through May 5, 2024. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm. There will be one Saturday matinee performance at 2pm on April 27, 2024.  Individual tickets are $30 each.
