Colonie– Assembly member Phil Steck will hold his annual American Red Cross blood drive on Friday March 15, in partnership with Village of Colonie Mayor Tom Tobin and the Board of Trustees to combat the blood shortages in the Capital Region. Blood donations are always in high demand. Every two seconds, someone in the United States requires a blood transfusion, yet only 3% of eligible people donate. A single blood contribution could save up to three lives, so every donation makes a difference.
