Free watercolor classes
The Shenendehowa Adult Community Center is offering free watercolor sessions during the month of March. Classes meet Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, and students of all skill sets are instructed in watercolor, sketching and acrylic techniques. In order to take advantage of this special, students must have a valid Center membership and provide their own supplies. A supply list will be available at time of registration. Space is limited. Greg Nazarian’s Dance Band
On the second Saturday of every month, Greg Nazarian holds a dance at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. The next dance will be Saturday, March 12, at 7 p.m. The cost is $10 per person, and $5 for members of the center. Proof of membership is required to receive the discount. Come and enjoy this wonderful event. This event is open to the public.
Saratoga County public nurses
On March 25, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., the Saratoga County Public Health Nursing Service will be at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center to offer complimentary blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screening for seniors. This is a walk-in only screening, so consider stopping by earlier than later. Please contact the Center at 383-1343 for more information. This event is free and open to the public.
Brian Zapel Dance
On the last Sunday of every month, Brian Zapel holds a dance at the Shenendehowa Adult Community Center. The next dance will be Sunday, March 27, at 7 p.m. The cost is $5 per person at the door. Come and enjoy this wonderful evening of dancing and entertainment. This event is open to the public.
Spring Book Sale
The Shenendehowa Adult Community Center will hold its annual Spring Book Sale on April 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Paperbacks will be sold for 50 cents, and hard cover books will be sold for $1. The bag sale portion of the event is held from 3 to 4 p.m. Please contact the Center at 383-1343 for more information. This event is open to the public.
