BETHLEHEM – The Eagles won their first game of the year on Friday, Sept. 15, by beating Ballston Spa 22-7.
Bethlehem (1-2, 1-2) got on the board first with a 13-yard scamper by tailback Ethan Sheraw, and then the defense got a safety after an errant Ballston Spa snap went out of the end zone.
Cameron Scoons nailed a 26-yard field goal in the second to take a 12-7 lead into halftime. In the third, Scoons hit a 37-yarder and Kendall Harris had a 26-yard touchdown to put the game out of reach in the fourth.
Ballston Spa (1-2, 1-2) got on the board in the second quarter on a 1-yard touchdown by Zach Washington, but could not put up any more points.
Next Friday, Sept. 22, Bethlehem plays in Troy and Ballston Spa plays in Guilderland.
