Saratoga Springs Department of Public Works Commissioner Anthony Skip Scirocco declared a snow emergency for the city beginning at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan 7.
Scirocco declared the snow emergency based on `the forecast of winter weather resulting in excess of 6 inches of snow.`
Regulations for the emergency are:
Except for those streets posted for alternate-side parking, it will be illegal to park or stand a motor vehicle for any continuous period of time more than 12 hours.
All vehicles on all city streets except those streets posted for alternate-side parking will be moved to a plowed or cleared area every 12 hours.
All vehicles in violation of the City’s Snow Emergency parking regulations are subject to being ticketed or towed at owner’s expense.“
