What are you listening to these days?
I don’t listen to a great deal of music, but I
listen to jazz music everyday when I swim.
What are you reading?
I read a lot of nonfi ction. I like a lot of biographies, like of Rockefeller and of Lincoln and of John Adams.
What are you watching on TV?
I generally do news shows, like MSNBC and the four network news shows.
What was the last movie you saw?
I watched “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” It was very light and very enjoyable.
Who is one person living or dead you would like to meet and why?
I would like to meet Robert Kennedy because he had a passion for economic justice. He had the courage of his conviction to promote economic justice during the 60s.
Describe your dream vacation.
It would be in a warm climate without any expectation of running into anyone from New York state. I visited Sierra Leone when my daughter was in the Peace Corps, and I would love to go back.
What is your favorite hobby?
I think playing golf.
Describe what your last meal would be.
I think a baked lobster with a baked potato with a fresh romaine lettuce salad.
What is your favorite local memory?
I think growing up in a family oriented Irish neighborhood in the city of Albany.
What three things would you bring with you to a desert island?
Enough food to eat, a good book and an iPad.
