TROY — This Friday, the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall continues its Summer Square, a free outdoor concert series every Friday and Saturday, with a Friday night performance by the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company at the Music Hall Courtyard on Aug. 26, at 6 p.m.
The 31-year-old not-for-profit arts organization is committed to creating, collaborating, educating and partnering, remaining in the forefront as it shares its work with diverse audiences through concerts, showcases, residencies, workshops, and educational and community outreach projects.
Artistic Director Ellen Sinopoli has created over 100 dances since forming the company and ESDC’s collaborations and artistic projects serve as a conduit to bring together talented artists (both regional and national) from varied genres that include visual artists, sculptors, architects, composers and musicians, poets and storytellers, videographers, photographers and physicists. Past commissions include new work for The Egg, Olana Partnership, Saratoga County Arts Council, Schenectady Symphony Orchestra, Schenectady Museum and St. Cecelia Orchestra.
Ryan Leddick will feature his original music in the courtyard on Saturday. The independent artist will showcase a collage of musical talents that stop people in their tracks. Blending years of experience, Ryan Leddick weaves his soulful and haunting voice alongside rhythmic guitar lines to create an enticing folk-rock fusion.
Bring your lawn chair and join the audience in the Music Hall Courtyard on 2nd Street at 6 p.m.
