Dear Editor,
I’ve been in and out of the hospital eight times over the last week for my chronic health condition. Each time I go to the emergency room, I am offered an HIV test. However, when I ask for a COVID-19 test, I am told I am not eligible since I’m not symptomatic. The only way to beat this virus is universal mandatory testing. I was able to get tested at the VA but waited over two hours to get out of the emergency room. This disease is perfect for neurotic New Yorkers. I also think there should be a medical exemption for masking in businesses, but there does not seem to be at this time.
