A 17-year-old Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School student faces multiple charges after he allegedly videotaped himself having sex with a 16-year-old and posting it on social media.
According to Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple Sr., the school resource officer assigned to the high school was notified of the incident, which took place in the boys locker room, by a staff member.
The male allegedly made the video without the female’s consent.
The incident was investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and personnel at RCS High School.
On Monday, Nov. 25 the juvenile student was arrested and charged with the felonies of promoting a sexual performance by a child and unlawful surveillance as well as the misdemeanor of endangering the welfare of a child.
He was released to his parents and will appear in Albany County Family Court.
