I was 13 years old when the Simon and Garfunkle hit “Sounds of Silence” was recorded. It was my absolute favorite until they recorded “Bridge over Troubled Water” around 1970. It’s a toss-up between these two for my favorites but I’m always listening to songs of the 60’s and 70’s…. “happy times.” My all-time favorite book is Ronald Reagan’s autobiography “An American Life.” I just finished “13 Hours In Benghazi,” by Mitchell Zuckoff and the Annex Security Team, which is an eye opening account of the 2012 terrorist attack against U.S. government sites in Libya. Because of my hectic schedule, I don’t get to read as many books as I would like. I tend to lean toward non-fiction historical stories or autobiographies. I don’t spend much time watching television, however when I do, I watch Blue Bloods and Fox News. Also, I will watch the Yankees occasionally. A few months ago I saw Rikki and the Flash with Meryl Streep. The jury is still out on this one….didn’t care for the character she played. No doubt in my mind it would be Ronald Reagan. What a remarkable man. Whether you like his politics or not, you have to admire the road he took through his life, the principles he held, and his philosophy on life. He was truly an admirable human being. Our Country could surely use him now. Sun, sun and more sun! I am not a sun goddess, however I like places where the sun shines a lot and I can escape my busy days here….and of course shopping in nearby malls and outlet stores with friends. This is a toss-up between baking and cooking some of my family’s old Italian recipes. I have some close friends who would tell you that outlet shopping ranks right up there too. What are you listening to these days?
