The Shaker baseball team bounced back from Friday’s 14-4 loss to Shenendehowa by beating Niskayna 6-2 Monday in Latham.
Ben Cassillo’s bases-loaded triple in the first inning helped the Blue Bison (7-2 league, 8-2 overall) build an early 4-0 advantage. Cassillo singled and scored in the bottom of the sixth inning to add to Shaker’s lead.
Sean Egan contributed a pair of singles, and pitcher Tyler Hoffman threw five shutout innings for Shaker.
Mike Landry singled twice and doubled for Niskayuna (3-6, 4-6).
