Senior Services of Albany in conjunction with AARP will be offering a “Drive Safety Program” (DSP), a two-day course, on Monday, March 5, and Wednesday, March 7, at the Westview Senior Center, 680 Central Ave. in Albany.
The classes will be held from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The course provides drivers with the opportunity to save 10 percent on car insurance.
The cost of the class is $17 for AARP members and $19 for non-members. The per person cost of the class has risen slightly to compensate for additional printing costs incurred by AARP to run the program. Please note that this price increase affects only the classroom course.
In New York State, the costs of the online course are $23.95 for AARP members and $27.95 for non-members. .
Pre-registration for this course is mandatory. If you would like to register for the Driver Safety Program, call the Westview Senior Center at 482-2120. In addition, class participants can enjoy a hot lunch for a small fee ($3.70 per person per meal).
