MALTA – An off-duty state trooper was arrested for assault after a domestic incident.
According to the State Police, in late August, Edward Dandaraw, 47, of Ballston Spa, caused bruising to the victim when he forcefully removed a phone from her hand. He then damaged the phone.
He was charged with assault in the third degree and criminal mischief and is suspended without pay.
He was arraigned in the Town of Malta Court and scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Milton Court on Sept. 26.
