ALTAMONT — The Hollowed Harvest, the 7000-plus Jack-O’-Lantern spectacle featuring intricutately carved pumpkins for the coming Halloween season, has returned to the Altamont Fairgrounds.
The Hollowed Harvest is billed as America’s largest chain of Jack-O’-Lantern festivals with locations from Salem, Massachusettes to Richmond, Virginia.
This year, the Hollowed Harvest has brought more exhibits, including the ghoulish glow of whimsical faces when visitors explore the Jack-O’-Lantern tunnel.
Also on display are what Matthew Glaser, CEO of BOLD Media claims to be some of the most intricately-carved organic pumpkins ever seen.
“Now in its third year, the Hollowed Harvest has become a Halloween tradition for countless families throughout the Capital Region – now with our incredible Jack-O-Lantern tunnel, intricately carved pumpkins, and the epic artwork guests have come to associate with Hollowed Harvest; our third year is sure to be the best yet!” said Glaser. “So much of Halloween is geared towards young adults with scary attractions, the Hollowed Harvest is a rare safe haven in the fun of Halloween that focuses more on the beauty of the Jack-O’-Lanterns as an art form, while avoiding the horror aspect often associated with Halloween.”
