GUILDERLAND – On Monday, October 3, 2022, the third annual Dave Worden Classic presented by Prime Companies will take place at Pinehaven Country Club, Guilderland, NY, to raise money for the Jimmy Fund. Proceeds raised from this event will support the world-class cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. About the Dave Worden Classic: “In 2001, I was diagnosed with Melanoma, had successful surgery, and was cancer free. In 2019, it metastasized and I now have stage 4 metastatic Melanoma. We put together the first Dave Worden Classic golf tournament in 2020 to fund melanoma research as well as to educate golfers on skin cancer and prevention. I wanted to do something to give back while I could.” “Our tournament raised $29,000 in 2020 and $55,807 in 2021. This year’s goal is $75,000. All money raised is directed for melanoma research to my Oncologist Dr. Patrick Ott’s research clinic through the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.”
