COLONIE — Hundreds of people, mostly women, lined Central Avenue and Wolf Road on Saturday, Oct. 17, to make a political statement.
The demonstration was one of many across the country to oppose the policies of President Donald Trump, including replacing the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and his re-election bid.
“The mission of Women’s March is to harness the political power of diverse women and their communities to create transformative social chance,” according to the national website. “Women’s March is a women-led movement providing intersectional education on a diverse range of issues and creating entry points for new grassroots activists and organizers to engage in their local communities through trainings, outreach programs and events.”
