COLONIE – Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred on Friday, Aug. 17, at around 4:08 p.m. at the intersection of Albany Shaker and Wolf roads.

According to Sgt. John O’Donnell, a motorcyclist was traveling east on Albany Shaker Road when it collided with a 2012 Ford Focus travelling west and turning left to go south on Wolf Road.

The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old from Wynantskill, was transported by Colonie EMS to Albany Memorial Hospital where he later died.

His name is not being released at this time.

The operator of the Ford, a 33-year-old from Rensselaer, was also transported to Albany Memorial with minor injuries.
