ALBANY – A jury convicted a 45-year-old Colonie man of having sex with a child under the age of 13.
According to District Attorney David Soares, the jury found Julio Garcia guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
The conviction determined that between June 1, 2014 and July 3, 2016, at multiple locations in Albany County including a home on Loudon Road, Garcia engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct, including at least on act of sexual intercourse with the child who was known to him.
Garcia remains in custody without bail and faces 25 years to life when sentenced on May 21.
