COLONIE — Police responded to a crash this morning in Latham that left a pedestrian seriously injured.
According to police, around 7:11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, police received a call regarding a pedestrian who had been struck by a car on Latham Ridge Road near the intersection of Cord Drive.
Police said that a female pedestrian, Alicia Laskoski, 33, of Latham,had been jogging on Latham Ridge Road when she was struck by a 2005 Toyota that was traveling the same direction. Police say the driver of the vehicle was Dominic Marchese 17, of Latham.
Marchese stopped driving immediately upon hitting Laskoski, said police. She was transported to Albany Medical
Center with serious injuries and her condition at this time is unknown. Alcohol and speed have been ruled out in regards to what caused Marchese to crash.
