ALBANY — Sean Moreland, 32, of Colonie, was sentenced on Thursday, Sept. 1, by Albany County Court Judge Stephen Herrick to eight years in state prison for burglarizing a Colonie home last year.
Moreland pleaded guilty on July 27 to one count of second degree burglary, one year to the exact date he entered a residence on Kim Drive and stole property, including jewelry. A witness observed Moreland enter and leave the residence, and Moreland was later observed selling jewelry at a nearby pawn shop.
Moreland will also serve five years of probation following his prison sentence.
