ALBANY — Michael Fox, 49, of Watervliet, pleaded guilty to one count each of second degree murder and second degree attempted murder in Albany County Supreme Court Wednesday, July 27.

On Jan. 8, at approximately 8 p.m., in the area of Fourth Avenue in Watervliet, Fox killed his neighbor, 29-year-old Brandon Sherwin, using a shotgun and stabbing him. He also attempted to kill a woman he knew by shooting her.

Fox faces up to 25 years to life in state prison when he is sentenced on Sept. 16.
