UPDATE: Police now believe the Kia Sorrento is a 2014-2015 model, not 2011-2012 as previously stated.
As of Thursday, Aug. 20, around 2:30 p.m., police said they have no credible leads. Anyone who may have information is asked to called 783-2754.
The Colonie police are asking anyone with more information in regards to a possible assault on a teenaged girl in the Colonie Center parking lot to contact police.
Police received a report Wednesday, Aug. 19, around 2:15 p.m. that a middle aged white male pushed a teenaged girl into a parked car, causing the rear windshield to break. The incident took place in the mall parking lot on the Wolf Road side, closest to P.F. Changs.
The man also had a young child, about 3 to 5 years old, with him. All three individuals left the scene toward Wolf Road in a 2014-2015 white Kia Sorrento. The vehicle has a white New York license plate with an EZ Pass in the windshield.
Police said they believe the teenaged girl may have a head or face injury. Police are asking for help in checking on the girl’s welfare and that anyone with more information call 783-2754.
The male is described as white, about 40 to 50 years old and around 5 foot, 10 inches with a husky build and light colored hair. He was wearing an orange tank top and khaki shorts.
The teenager is a white 14-year-old girl, thin with dirty blonde hair. She was wearing a pink tank top.
