BETHLEHEM — Delmar BSA Troop 75 collected more than 120 bags of food and personal care items on Saturday, May 9 at the First United Methodist Church as part of a food drive to benefit the Bethlehem Food Pantry.
Scouts wore masks and maintained social distancing while people drove up and unloaded their donations between 1 and 4 p.m. The Scouts, working in shifts of three to limit physical contact, then brought the donations to the trailer.
“It felt great to do something for the community while keeping safe,” wrote Steven Kroll, Delmar-Bethlehem EMS in an email to Spotlight News who attended the food drive.
