SELKIRK—A pickup truck crashed while traveling northbound on the NYS Thruway just north of the Clapper Road Overpass at around 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 29. The truck rolled onto its side and then back onto its wheels for about 500 feet through a field and onto Clapper Road, ending up in front of 166 Clapper Rd.
It was raining at the time of the accident.
The driver was transported to Albany Medical Center with non life threatening injuries and New York state police investigated the cause of the crash. Two tickets were issued for the traffic violations of unsafe speed and moving from a lane unsafely.
