BETHLEHEM — A 16-year-old girl is described as being “lucky to be alive” after the car she was driving struck a semi Tuesday, March 15, around 9:20 p.m. on Route 9W, according to Selkirk Fire Chief William Asprion.
The truck was traveling north on Route 9W when the driver overshot his left-hand turn onto Creeble Road. The driver attempted to make a sharp turn, but turned directly into the path of the southbound Subaru.
Bethlehem police are investigating the accident, and charges are pending against the driver.
The truck is owned by Glazier Trucking Company out of Kiefer, Okla.
