The Friends of the Voorheesville Library will once again be hosting the Winter Boutique at the library.
There will be a wide range of new and gently used items for sale, including: jewelry, fancy frames, purses, wallets, linens, ornaments, serving dishes, scarves, hats, gloves, and so much more.
The sale dates are Friday, Dec. 2 (pre-sale for FOL members only) Noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, Dec. 4, 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Item donations can be made at the library, Monday, Nov. 28, from 10 to 12 p.m., and from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29 from 5-7 p.m., and Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 10-2 p.m.
Child of the Holocaust
Join Dr. William Reszelbach, a child of Holocaust survivors, for a Zoom presentation at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30. Dr. Reszelbach will share his family’s harrowing experiences at the hands of the Nazis, coupled with Holocaust history. He will discuss his parents’ will to survive and how these traumatic events affected their new life in the USA, as well as his own life, and his perspective on modern-day anti-Semitism. Animal Signs and Tracking
Recognize animal activity and learn how animals adapt to survive winter in the northeast. Join us Thursday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m. for a one hour program and walk at the Albany Pine Bush. Please register online. We’ll meet at the Discovery Center, 195 New Karner Road, Albany.
Holiday Hours
The library will close at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 23, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Regular hours will resume at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 26.
