TROY — The Collar City is set to be lit this weekend when Bacchanalia Arts & Music Festival — a brand new showcase of talent from around the region — brings scores of musicians and artists for a three-day weekend, starting Friday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 2.
The music festival comprises several Troy venues, including Whiskey Pickle, No Fun, Rare Form Brewing, Slidin’ Dirty, Brown’s Brewing, El Dorado, The Ruck, Franklin Alley and The Bradley. bringing live art installations, exhibits, pop-up vendors and 149 musical acts.
In addition to the indoor stages, some of the music will be showcased on two outdoor main stages; one on Fulton Street in front of the Whiskey Pickle, and another near the new popular live music venue No Fun.
Guthrie Bell Productions helped book some of the bands, each of whom originates from other corners of the country, including Los Angeles-based rapper Chali 2na and indie-rock band The Nude Party.
The lineup also includes King Buffalo, Jonathan Toubin, The Abyssmals, Victory Soul Orchestra, Beau Sasser Trio, Melted Bodies, Laveda, Pony In The Pancake, Jb!! Aka Dirty Moses, Front Biz, Battleaxxx, SM Ink and more.
The festival begins Friday evening at 4 p.m. and will run until Sunday evening at 8. Each $75 ticket provides access to each of the three-day festival’s event.
