RCS School Community Members,

As the 2020-21 school year approaches, we wanted to connect with you to understand your questions/suggestions on the process of reopening our district in the fall. Our reopening committees have been meeting since June and, with the newly released guidance from New York State, we want to ensure that we are adapting these directives to fit our RCS community. Please consider participating in the “Thoughtexchange” listed at the bottom of this email. The information that you provide will be used as the district continues to develop planning and operational procedures for the upcoming school year. All information is private and we welcome your recommendations as we prepare to reopen. Together, we can create a comprehensive plan to provide quality instruction while protecting the members of our RCS school community.

In addition to the Thoughtexhange below, we will be sending a survey out next week that will provide a framework of our reopening plans and will ask families to report out on whether their child(ren) will return to school in the fall, ride the bus, or have adequate access to internet at home. Please keep an eye out for that information.

We thank you for participating and for sharing your feedback on the reentry process for the 2020-21 school year.
