Spotlight News was started in 1955 as a small publication (The Spotlight) in Delmar, NY, and in the decades that have followed the paper has blossomed into the preeminent source for local news coverage in the greater Capital District. Spotlight News now produces three local, weekly editions in Albany, Rensselaer, Schenectady and Saratoga counties, with a combined circulation of more than 25,000. Our newspapers are a mixture of paid subscription weeklies, free publications and total market publications.
Spotlight News also publishes a monthly niche publication, Capital District Family Now, that has distribution in Columbia and Warren counties in addition to the Capital District.
