ALBANY — CDTA hosted its third annual Pink Bus Pull on Tuesday, Oct. 29 to help the Real Men Wear Pink campaign’s efforts to fight breast cancer.
Teams of eight from all over the Capital District pulled a 30,000 pound CDTA bus, appropriately painted pink, 10 feet. The Albany Police Department came in first and will have bragging rights for a year. In second was the team from Best Fitness followed by the CDTA Troy Division in third.
Last year, CDTA employees helped raise nearly $16,000 for Real Men Wear Pink. In all, in 2018, the Capital District Real Men Wear Pink campaign raised more than $260,000, ranking it second in the nation behind Cincinnati.
The bus pull was held in the Crossgates Mall parking lot and materials to transform city buses were donated by Lamar Advertising, NAPA Auto Parts and Seifert Graphics.
