Annual weekend festival returns to Charles R. Wood Park
LAKE GEORGE – With Memorial Day fast approaching and the start of the summer concert series on the horizon, festival goers can take a drive into Lake George and attend this year’s Memorial Meltdown festival at Charles R. Wood Park.
Memorial Meltdown is from Saturday, May 25 and ends Sunday, May 26. Gates will open both days starting at 2:30 p.m., with music set to begin at 3 p.m.
The family-friendly event is free for children 12-years-old and younger. Advance tickets for one day general admission are $65 & $125 for two-day admission. VIP advance tickets are also available for $130 for one day, and $255 for the weekend. Admission prices will rise on the day of the show.

Saturday evening’s headliner band will be the eight-piece rock ‘n’ roll band, The Revivalists. The band, known for their soulful alt-rock songs and their generosity through their philanthropic organization, Rev Causes, released their Billboard Hot 100 single, “Wish I Knew You”, which earned a RIAA double-platinum certification.
The remaining music acts to open for The Revivalists include the Rob Beaulieu Band (3:30 p.m.), The Mallett Brothers Band (5:00 p.m.), Ryan Montbleau Band (6:45 p.m.). The Revivalists will close out the evening at 9 p.m.
Sunday’s headliner band, Dispatch, formed by musicians Chadwick Stokes and Brad Corrigan, have released eight studio albums, six live albums, and within a 25 year period, have even sold out three consecutive concerts at Madison Square Garden. One of their outdoor concerts held in Boston, Mass. drew over 100,000 fans without any traditional radio or major label support, according to festival organizer, Jarett Hartstone of Hartstone Productions LLC.
The following acts to open for Dispatch include Annie In The Water (3:30 p.m.), The Samples (5 p.m.), and guitarist and vocalist, Mihali, who will perform with his Twiddle band members, Zdenek Gubb (bass) and Adrian Tramontano (drums), and Scott Hanay (keyboard), and also a horn section.
Dispatch will close the festival at 9 p.m.
In addition to the music, the festival will also include many food and craft vendors. Guests who purchase VIP tickets will receive a meal, snacks, heavily-discounted adult beverages, $2 bottle of water and soft drinks, be seated in a private area to view the music acts, and access to a private bathroom.
