ALBANY — Everyone is at least a little bit Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, or at least when the Capital City holds its annual parade.
This the Irish had to wait two years and a week before they could don green and strut their heritage on Saturday, March 19.
The last time the city held a parade was in 2019. In 2020 and 2021 it was cancelled because of COVID-19 and last week it was cancelled because of a notorious, but all too common, March snowstorm.
But on Saturday, the bagpipes blared, the dancers did their jigs and green was the fashion of choice.
