TROY — Classic guitar and an eclectic mix of Afro-Cuban rhythm took over Riverfront Park on Wednesday, July 31, for the second to last scheduled Rockin’ on the River.

The duo of Sten and Maria Z opened the show with guitarist/mandolinist Sten Isachsen and guitarist/composer Maria Zemantauski playing a mix of “fiery flamenco, classical, Latin, roots and bluegrass.”

Pedrito Martinez and his band headlined, and the quartet brought up the Hudson River from the New York City area a mix of “traditional Latin rhythm and modern soul.”

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, Kiss the Sky, the World’s Greatest Tribute to Jimi Hendrix and local favorite Soul Sky will take the state at Riverfront Park. The show starts at 5 p.m.
