SPOTTED: Slick Rick at Alive at Five

ALBANY — La Di Da Di, the Cap City came to party.

Albany loves its hip hop and it showed at last night’s Alive at Five, Thursday, June 20. Droves of fans camped themselves underneath the overpass as Albany pushed the show under the bridge due to the threat of rain. Local hip hop group Giant Gorilla Dog Thing started the music off, followed by a hot warm-up act featuring iconic tracks orchestrated by DJ T.G.I.F.

Slick Rick the Ruler took the stage shortly after 7 p.m. and kept the crowd swaying back and forth to some of the old school classics, both of his and others.
