TROY – Rockin’ on the River featured the psychedelic rock band from Virginia Super Doppler with Albany favorite Wurliday opening the show on Wednesday, June 20.
A solid crowd turned out for the free weekly concert series sponsored by the Troy Business Improvement District at the Collar City’s Riverfront Park.
Super Doppler band members showed their musical versatility by switching instruments and taking turns singing lead on an all-original set list, while Wurliday vocalists Ilana Morris and Tyrone Hartzog rocked the crowd with a solid ensemble behind them.
The series continues on Wednesday, June 27, at 5 p.m. with Blues for Breakfast – a Grateful Dead cover band from Vermont that also plays classic rock, Motown, reggae and originals.
