ALBANY — Scott Sharrard, best known as the lead guitarist for the Gregg Allman Band, headlines an evening at The Upper Room in Albany, on Friday, May 19, at 7 p.m.
The Michigan native learned jazz at the prestigious High School for the Arts in Milwaikee, WI. While doing so, he earned respect playing and singing along with Clyde Stubblefield, Willie Higgins, Harvey Scales and Buddy Miles.
In addition to his prowess at guitar, Sharrard is a talented songwriter. Two of his songs, “Endless Road,” and “Love Like Kerosene” have been performed by the Gregg Allman Band.
