ALBANY — Team Americas, featuring 14-year-old Alyssa Liu of the U.S, won the figuring skating competition over Team World by a score of 192.5 to 182.5 at the Times Union Center on Saturday, Aug. 24.
Other world class athletes who skated included Maé Bérénice Meite, of France, Mirai Nagasu of the U.S. and Ashley Wagner U.S. and Stanislava Konstantinova, of Russia.
The Aurora Games featured some 150 female athletes from around the globe including Olympic medalists and national championships in tennis, gymnastics, basketball, figure skating, ice hockey, beach volleyball and table tennis.
Team Americas and Team World competed for the Babe Didrikson Zaharias Trophy, which will be presented to the winning team at the completion of the Aurora Games on Sunday, Aug. 25.
