ALBANY — Gymnasts from all over the world wowed the crowd at the Times Union Center during the week-long Aurora Games.
While there was a spectrum of accomplishments on the respective athletes resume’s the star of the night was Katelyn Ohashi, a former UCLA standout who is just as well known for overcoming injuries and her life outside of the gym and for a floor exercise video that had 118 million views as of earlier this month.
Team America edged Team World in gymnastics by a total score of 158.5 to 158.3.
The games continue tonight, Thursday, Aug. 22 at the Times Union Center with basketball. On Friday, Aug. 23 ice hockey will take center stage at 7 p.m.; on Saturday table tennis begins at noon at the Convention Center while figure skating starts at 1 p.m. at the Times Union Center. On Sunday, Aug. 25 beach volleyball will wrap things up starting at 11 a.m. at the Times Union Center.
