ALBANY COUNTY Mark Egan scored the winning goal with 1:40 left in overtime to give Shaker/Colonie a 6-5 victory over Niskayuna/Schenectady in a Capital District High School Hockey League game Friday, Jan. 15, at the Albany County Hockey Facility.
Niskayuna/Schenectady’s Jacob Bourque tied the score at 5-5 with 39 seconds left in the third period before Egan won it for Shaker/Colonie.
Egan and Zachary Turnbull each scored a pair of goals for the Jets, and goaltender Ali Caruso made 22 saves. Kevin Canty tallied twice and added three assists for the Mohawks, who got 41 saves from James Blanchfield.
In a non-league game, Yorktown doubled up Guilderland/Mohonasen/Scotia 4-2 at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility in Glenville. Collin Lagios and Anthony Sericolo tallied in the third period for the Storm, and goaltender Daniel Cooper stopped 36 shots.
