Brandon Barlow heads list of local Class AA football players on All-State team

ALBANY COUNTY Shaker’s Brandon Barlow was named a first-team defensive lineman on the New York State Sports Writers Association’s Class AA All-State team Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Barlow was one of two Section 2 players to receive first-team honors in Class AA. Saratoga Springs running back Dakota Harvey was the other player.

Guilderland’s Marquis Chisom was selected a fourth-team All-State defensive lineman, while Shaker’s Kwasi Addo (linebacker) and Brendan MacPhee (defensive back) received fifth-team honors.

Honorable mentions went to the following players:

Bethlehem

Ben Tietjen — defensive back

Christian Brothers Academy

Grayson Hayward — defensive lineman

Dom Savona — kicker

Colonie

Dan Kehrer — running back

Ryan Marriot — offensive lineman

Guilderland

George Marinopoulos — quarterback

Andy Hines — offensive lineman

Patrick Ghyll — linebacker

Shaker

Matt Holmes — offensive lineman

Andrew Bolton — defensive back
