The Colonie football team suffered a 20-19 loss to Ballston Spa in its season opener Friday, Sept. 4.
The Garnet Raiders (0-1) got within one point of the Scotties when Chris Flood scored on a 3-yard touchdown run with 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter. However, Ballston Spa (1-0) stopped Colonie’s two-point conversion attempt to pull out the victory.
Flood had a pair of touchdown runs for Colonie, and Taylor Pfaff returned a fumble 20 yards for a touchdown.
The Garnet Raiders host Saratoga Springs Friday, Sept. 11.
