The Bethlehem boys soccer team began its Suburban Council season with a 7-0 victory over Schenectady Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Bethlehem dominated throughout the game, but didn’t get its first goal until Kevin Piccolino tallied in the 24th minute. That goal opened the floodgates, as the Eagles struck three more times in the first half to build a 4-0 lead.
Eamonn Conway had a goal and three assists, and Piccolino tallied twice for Bethlehem. Luke Dole contributed a goal and two assists.
The Eagles visit Christian Brothers Academy Thursday, Sept. 3.
Girls soccer
The Bethlehem girls soccer team began its Suburban Council campaign in style with a 13-0 victory over Schenectady Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Shannon Russo struck four times, and Olivia Miranda recorded a hat trick to pace the Lady Eagles (1-0-0). Kassie Hautau scored a pair of goals.
Bethlehem will travel to the Syracuse region to face Fayetteville-Manlius Friday, Sept. 4, and Baldwinsville Saturday, Sept. 5.
