The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk wrestling team placed sixth with a 2-5 record at the two-day Lansingburgh Duals.
The Indians began the tournament by splitting its first two matches Friday. They defeated Granville 65-15, but took a 46-31 loss against Duanesburg.
Saturday’s second stage began for Ravena with a close 37-32 loss to Amsterdam. The Indians then fell to Hudson Falls 48-28, Queensbury 47-24 and Saratoga Springs 42-38 before edging Shaker 37-35.
Freddy Pechette and Logan Kunkle led the way for Ravena by winning all seven of their bouts. Pechette pinned five of his seven opponents in the 145- and 152-pound weight classes, while Kunkle had two pins and two major decisions at 220 pounds.
John Rue (113 pounds) and Kyle Powell (285) each had 6-1 records for Ravena at the Lansingburgh Duals.
