The Bethlehem boys swim team improved its record to 4-2 with Tuesday’s 95-73 dual meet victory over Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk in Ravena.
Bethlehem’s Gunnar Zemering swam only in two relay events, which allowed the Eagles to show off the depth of talent they have. Five individuals earned official wins, while another swam the fastest time in an event where he was an exhibition swimmer.
Richard Sweeney (200-yard freestyle), Matt Clarke (50 freestyle), Greg Ingraham (diving), Phil Scott (100 freestyle) and Connor Doyle (500 freestyle) earned first-place points for Bethlehem. Alex Taber posted a sub-1 minute time in the 100 backstroke.
Jordan Harris paced Ravena with wins in the 200-yard individual medley and the 100 butterfly. Michael Fryer (100 backstroke) and Sam Datri (100 breaststroke) also earned individual victories.
In other swim meets Tuesday, Mohonasen/Schalmont edged Guilderville 86-81 in Voorheesville. Tristan Dixon (200-yard individual medley), Jake Hewitt (500 freestyle) and Joseph Conway (100 breaststroke) won individual events for Mohonasen/Schalmont.
Jeremy Collison and Daniel Zhu each had a pair of wins for Guilderville. Collison finished first in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100 butterfly, while Zhu took first place in the 50 and 100 freestyles. Gavin Bigge added a victory in the 100 backstroke.
