Recently, there has been a national discussion about the danger of youth football players (elementary school through middle school) sustaining concussions from playing the game. We want to know what you think can be done to curtail the potential for head injuries in the sport.
Safer helmets would offer players better protection from impact.
Llimiting or eliminating head contact is already being encouraged in the sport, but is it enough?
Limiting or eliminating tackling altogether would reduce the potential for head injuries, but would it detract from the spirit of the game?
Finally, would an older starting age give children’s bodies enough time to develop before being put at risk for injury through football?
Let us know what you think by selecting the option you believe is the best one in the box to the left side of the screen. Votes will be tallied through Sunday, Dec. 1.
