With the Sectional portion of the 2013 football season concluding Friday, we want to know who is your choice for the Section II Class AA player of the year. Here are your five choices and their respective resumes:
Wayne Burt (Colonie) — The senior tailback took on a bigger role this season, as he led the Garnet Raiders with 1,070 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Elliot Croskey (CBA) — Croskey was a big reason why the Brothers reached the Sectional finals for the first time since 2006, as he rushed for 1,295 yards and 16 touchdowns, caught seven passes for 112 yards and a pair of touchdowns and helped out on defense.
Frank Gallo (Guilderland) — The senior quarterback broke his own school record for passing yards (1,995) and threw 19 touchdown passes to help the Dutchmen get to the Sectional semifinals.
Aidan O’Brien (Niskayuna) — Quietly, O’Brien had a terrific junior season as he rushed for 1,031 yards and 13 touchdowns, and he caught 17 passes for 233 yards.
Felix Rodriguez (Schenectady) — The senior tailback rushed for 1,063 yards and 10 touchdowns in only seven games for the Patriots, and he was a key component for the defense.
