In light of some of last week’s Section II Class AA playoff results, we want to know what you think is the toughest way to lose a football game.
Two of last Friday’s four quarterfinal games came down to the final play. In the Colonie-Guilderland game, a last-second field goal by Andrew Sentz lifted the Dutchmen to a 38-35 victory over the Garnet Raiders. Across town, Patrick Hoey blocked a field goal attempt at the end to help Shaker hold on for a 23-21 win over Shenendehowa.
Then, there was the Columbia-Christian Brothers Academy contest. CBA jumped out quickly and pulled away for a 49-6 victory over the Blue Devils. That performance was proceeded by CBA’s 70-7 win over its rival from LaSalle in the final regular season game.
So, which is harder to take? Losing by a little at the end, or being blown out? Make your selection in the box to the left side of the page. Voting will remain open until 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
