The Guilderland boys lacrosse team extended its winning streak to six games with Monday’s 11-8 Suburban Council victory over Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.
The Dutchmen (7-4 league, 8-5 overall) jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first quarter. The Spartans rallied with four goals in the second quarter to trim Guilderland’s lead to 7-5, but the Dutchmen got two goals back in the third quarter to give themselves a sizable cushion to work with.
Cody Dyer scored five goals, and Stephen Polsinelli added a hat trick and three assists for Guilderland, which is second to Shaker in the Suburban Council South Division standings. Goaltender Ryan Rafferty made 10 saves.
Tom Kenneally struck for a pair of goals, and Will Clark chipped in with a goal and three assists for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (3-7, 6-7).
